Terms of Service
These terms form the contract between you and TaskLync Inc. They apply to all users. Section 4 covers homeowner specific terms. Section 5 covers professional specific terms. If you use the platform, you have accepted these terms.
1. Definitions
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TaskLync platform, including the website located at tasklync.pk, associated applications, and related services.
In these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- "Platform" refers to the TaskLync website, applications, systems, and related services operated by TaskLync.
- "Homeowner" refers to any individual or entity using the Platform to discover, communicate with, or book service professionals.
- "Professional" refers to any independent service provider, contractor, technician, or business approved to offer services through the Platform.
- "Booking" refers to a confirmed service request or engagement made through the Platform between a Homeowner and a Professional.
- "TaskLync", "we", "us", "our" refers to TaskLync, a technology platform operated from Pakistan.
2. TaskLync's Role
TaskLync operates as a technology marketplace that connects Homeowners with independent Professionals. TaskLync itself does not directly provide home services, repair work, installation services, maintenance, or trade labour.
Professionals available on the Platform operate independently and are not employees, representatives, partners, or agents of TaskLync. TaskLync does not supervise or control how Professionals perform their work, what tools they use, or how they manage their businesses.
Our role is limited to facilitating discovery, bookings, communication, verification processes, payment workflows, and platform support systems designed to improve trust and reliability within the marketplace.
While TaskLync applies verification and screening processes to improve platform quality, we cannot guarantee the quality, legality, safety, suitability, or outcome of services performed by Professionals. Homeowners are responsible for evaluating whether a Professional and their services are appropriate for their needs.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
To access or use the Platform, you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements under applicable law.
By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. You agree to keep your account information updated where necessary.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity conducted through your account. TaskLync is not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorised access caused by your failure to secure your account credentials.
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove any account that violates these Terms, provides misleading information, engages in fraudulent behaviour, harms other users, or creates legal or operational risk for the Platform.
4. Homeowner Terms
4.1 Bookings and Payments
By confirming a Booking through the Platform, you agree to pay the displayed or agreed service amount, including any applicable platform fees, taxes, or additional charges communicated before confirmation.
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. TaskLync does not store complete payment card information on its own systems.
4.2 Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate job descriptions and relevant details
- Ensure safe and reasonable access to the property during service delivery
- Communicate scope changes clearly before work begins whenever possible
- Treat Professionals respectfully and avoid abusive, threatening, or discriminatory conduct
4.3 Cancellations
Cancellation policies may vary depending on the service category, scheduling timeline, or Professional availability. Any applicable cancellation charges will be communicated before confirmation where reasonably possible.
4.4 Off-Platform Transactions
Users may not use TaskLync to identify or contact Professionals for the purpose of bypassing the Platform for future bookings, payments, or transactions that originated through TaskLync.
5. Professional Terms
5.1 Verification Requirements
Professionals may be required to complete identity verification, qualification reviews, license validation, insurance confirmation, or other screening processes before being approved on the Platform.
Submission of verification information does not guarantee approval. TaskLync reserves the right to reject or remove applications at its discretion where platform trust, safety, or quality standards are not met.
5.2 Professional Standards
- Provide services professionally and honestly
- Arrive within a reasonable timeframe or communicate delays promptly
- Avoid misleading pricing, false qualifications, or deceptive claims
- Maintain any legally required certifications, permits, or licenses
- Interact respectfully with homeowners and platform users
5.3 Independent Contractor Relationship
Professionals operate as independent contractors and are solely responsible for their own taxes, insurance obligations, tools, employees, permits, and compliance with applicable local laws and regulations.
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between TaskLync and any Professional.
5.4 Platform Fees
TaskLync may charge service fees, commission fees, subscription fees, or promotional fees for access to certain platform features. Fee structures may evolve over time and will be communicated through the Platform or onboarding materials.
6. Payments and Refunds
All transactions on the Platform are processed through third-party payment providers. By using the Platform, you may also become subject to the terms and policies of those providers.
Refund eligibility depends on the nature of the dispute, service completion status, evidence submitted by involved parties, and platform policies applicable at the time of the Booking.
TaskLync reserves the right to review disputes and determine reasonable outcomes intended to maintain fairness and platform integrity.
7. Reviews and Ratings
Users may leave reviews and ratings based on genuine service experiences completed through the Platform.
Reviews must not contain false statements, harassment, threats, discriminatory language, private personal information, or misleading claims intended to damage another user's reputation unfairly.
TaskLync reserves the right to moderate, remove, restrict, or review content that violates platform standards or creates legal, safety, or reputational risks.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TaskLync shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform or services arranged through it.
TaskLync does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Platform, error-free operation, or specific outcomes from any Booking or interaction between users.
Responsibility for services performed through the Platform remains between the Homeowner and the Professional providing the service, except where liability cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
9. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Pakistan.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, users agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting legal@tasklync.pk.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect operational, technical, legal, or regulatory changes to the Platform.
Updated versions will be published on tasklync.pk with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
